Bonnet Fastener with Safety Hook Triumph TR5, TR250 & TR6

This is the later design Bonnet Fastener which has an attached Safety Hook as fitted to Triumph TR5, TR250 and TR6 models. Although not strictly correct, this can also be used in place of the TR4 & TR4A Bonnet Fastener, part number 611619, which did not have the safety hook fitted. The pivot point of the hook is a weak point and care should be taken when closing the bonnet. It is easy to bend the hook or damage the pivot by dropping the bonnet from a partially closed position, instead of lowering it into position with the hook held out of harms way.
