Dan H

Dan H

Workshop Manager

Dan joined Racetorations in 2016 after completing a Bachelor Degree in Motorsport Engineering at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston. Whilst studying, the opportunity to work in the industry for a year was offered, Dan chose Racetorations.

Dan is responsible for the shipping of products globally allied to the online presence of the business, including all website sales. He oversees the substantial CAD drawing library adding his own drawings as required. Also, he now manages the workshop!
In his childhood, Dan grew up around TRs and developed an interest in them from an early age.

Out of the workshop Dan is a successful national club racing driver. 2021 saw him become Mighty Mini Champion in his classic mini prepared in his own time, honing his skills on most of the expensive machinery available to him in the Racetorations workshop.

Drivetrain Manager

Dan joined the company in 2015 after spells at Ferrari specialists in London, swapping the hustle and bustle of the city for a somewhat more relaxed way of life in Lincolnshire. During his time in London Dan developed his engineering skills working on some of the most valuable and rare cars in the world. Dan puts this wealth of knowledge of high performance, well-engineered Italian engines into each engine he builds.

In his earlier years while carrying out his apprenticeship he qualified with 3 distinctions at National Diploma level in Motor Vehicle Repair and Technology.

Day to day, you’ll find Dan looking after engine, gearbox and axle rebuilds. Dan’s keen eye for detail and engineering skills guarantee that each project meets top-notch standards for reliability and performance.

Jono

Jono

Senior Workshop Technician

Jono joined the company in the summer of 1990 at 16 years old as an apprentice. After finishing top of his class on a 3 year City & Guild course for body repairs he joined Racetorations on a full-time basis. Over the years Jono has migrated away from general body repairs and more towards chassis & suspension preparation. With his vast knowledge on TRs Jono is the go-to guy on all things, he also carries out important initial on-ramp car inspections producing accurate & detailed lists of work required.

With his skills in chassis preparation, suspension, and bodywork, Jono is a key member of the team involved in projects from start to finish. In short, if you bring your TR to Racetorations Jono will definitely work on it at some point. As well as his general workshop activities Jono also builds the majority of our external sales kits. With his innovation and design abilities, Jono regularly designs, manufactures and fits items that help Racetorations’ TRs stand head and shoulders above the rest.

When he is not at work Jono enjoys developing and improving his two classic cars, a Ford Escort Cosworth and MG Metro 6R4. The latter of which is a original homologated special built for the Group B rally era, 1 of 200 built.
