Blanking Plug 5/8″ Triumph

This 5/8" Blanking Plug, also referred to as a Core Plug, was originally part number 104449, it is slightly dished and is fitted to the manual Gearbox Top Cover of Triumph TR2 to TR6, Stag, 2000, 2500, 2.5Pi Saloon, Dolomite, Spitfire, GT6, Herald and Vitesse. It seals the Selector Shaft holes.
It is also fitted to the Rear Differential Covers from Axle number CTC6242 of TR5, TR250 and TR6 plus Stag and 2000, 2500, 2.5Pi Saloon and Spitfire, GT6, Herald and Vitesse to blank off the breather hole.
Being a British Leyland part, it also is used in other applications, for example on the outer end of the front suspension Wishbone of an Austin Healey Sprite and an MG Midget !
