When fitting electronically controlled fuel injection the ignition is controlled by the ECU and coil pack thus removing the need for a conventional distributor. Despite being no longer required it cannot be simply removed without fitting a blanking plug to seal the engine and set the correct end float for the oil pump drive. This alloy blanking plate is the solution. Designed for use on the 6 cylinder engines that were originally fitted with the Lucas PI system. Simply remove the distributor & metering unit with adapter plate leaving behind the bare engine for the alloy blanking plate to be attached. Supplied with gasket.
