This set of 4 cylinder liners have been manufactured in the UK by Westfield Cylinder Liners exclusively for Racetorations. For serious competition & race engines.
Accurately machined, high quality cast iron cylinder liner for TR2-4A & Morgan +4 engines. These liners incorporate more body height to allow for precise decking & a thicker spigot to prevent distortion under torque load.
Block spigot holes will require machining to accept the liners & spot facing to ensure accurate positioning, no figure of 8 gaskets are required.
The liners are supplied with a rough cut bore at 86mm diameter, this ensures that after installation an accurate cylinder size can be achieved when boring. Suitable to bore 87mm to 89mm.
Note: You can install a cylinder liner that is supplied 'ready to fit' at the bore size you require, this is okay on road engines, however the liner once pressed into the engine will no longer be 100% round. The only way to achieve a truly cylindrical bore is by machining it once it has been installed and with a torque plate fitted. Racetorations can install these liners and machine them to your desired bore size if required.
