Slots and cross drillings have long been an efficient method of reducing or eliminating brake fade due to gassing. In extreme cases of heat, pads also can release fluid that lubricate the pad/disc interface which seriously reduces braking efficiency. The continuous slot adds to cooling, helps remove dust build-up and dissipates any gas between pads and disc. Direct replacement for original discs as fitted to TR3-4.
