Triumph TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR3B, TR4 & Morgan Plus 4 Oil Filler Cap

Push on oil filler cap and breather for standard pressed steel rocker covers and open circuit breathing on 4 cylinder Triumph engines as fitted to TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR3B, TR4 & Morgan Plus 4. Painted black and supplied with a white decal. The Triumph factory maintenance schedule stated that this oil filler and breather cap should be washed out in fuel and drained before refitting every 6,000 miles, at the same time as the mesh air filters. Very often this is maintenance schedule is neglected and the cap becomes blocked up, causing engine breathing restriction and a build up of pressure that can vent through other areas such as the dip stick.
