123ignition Adjustable Ignition Curve Distributor – Triumph TR5 to TR6

123ignition electronic Distributor suitable for Triumph 6 cylinder engines as fitted to TR5, TR250, TR6, GT6, Vitesse, 2000, 2500 & 2.5Pi. The unit offers 16 different advance-curves, that can be selected via a switch. This is a great feature for fine-tuning your engine! Although these 16 different advance curves make tuning easier sometimes compromises are made in order to find the best running. For the fully mappable version which allows full adjustment see ELC104. The original Triumph mechanical Tachometer will need to be converted to electronic when fitting this distributor, see ELC201.

For 6 cylinder engines we advise to change your coil to a high performance coil because of the short load time in the higher rpm range. Make sure you use coils with a primary resistance of at least 1.0 Ohm. ( 1,0 Ohm or more ) For standard street engines we advise a “Bosch Blue” or “Beru ZS106” coil. For high rpm engines a “Bosch red (0 221 119 030)” or “Beru ZS109” is much better.
