Racetorations Fan Belt Idler Pulley Kit – TR5-6

Aluminium idler pulley as fitted to all our high spec. TR5-6 engines. High performance six cylinder engines often suffer from severe fan belt oscillation. This usually results in fan belt failure. It may occur at high rpm or it may be induced by throttle 'blipping' or dramatic change in engine speeds, up or down. This kit comprises a twin sealed bearing alloy slave pulley on a substantial spigot attached to the engine front plate. The fan belt comes round the alternator pulley and runs backwards over a deeply grooved flat bottom pulley. Normal belt tensioning is used. Spacer sleeve may need machining to length to suit each application.
